The holidays are a good time of year to remember that change can be good. It’s been a bit of a mediocre year in this run-down world of ours, but it’s been a good year for the Nose: We lost two writers, but we gained two more. And, except for one late post, we’ve been updating on time all year. So, whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope it’s happy and that your new year is filled with wonderful changes.

As the editor, I’d like to formally thank our writers for doing a great job. But those of you who’ve been reading and leaving comments encouraging them are the site’s lifeblood, and we all thank you for that, and I hope you all keep coming back.

We’ll be taking a week off to recharge, so the Nose will return on Wednesday January 2nd. We’ll see you in 2013!

Neil Fein is a freelance editor who specializes in novels. If you’ve written a manuscript or are getting close to finishing, you can get in touch with him here. He’s also a musician, and is currently in the studio with his band Baroque & Hungry.
